From June 5–8, 2026, Rovinj will host the very first edition of the Summer Bachata Festival – a unique dance event that combines sea, sun, and bachata rhythms in one of the most charming towns on the Adriatic coast.

When we purchased the house at Carera 42 back in 2013, located in the very heart of Rovinj’s main shopping street, we had a clear vision –
to create apartments that we ourselves would love to stay in.

Two years later, we expanded our property by acquiring an additional part of the neighbouring house, which today includes a shared terrace and a laundry room on the ground floor. 

In May, in front of the Carera 42 Apartments, the shooting of the movie "Hitman's wife's Bodyguard". The leading actors are Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds. It was incredible watching them record the scenes. The movie will soon be in the cinemas - worldwide.

An international Salsa festival and a crown jewel of the development of the Salsa scene in Croatia, gathering 3,000 Salsa dancers from across the world every year. Dance workshops with the best international instructors and many parties will be held during the festival.

For the first time Michelin has awarded a restaurant in Croatia with a Michelin Star. Monte in Rovinj has met the strict criteria and is the first restaurant to receive the honour in Croatia, Michelin Guide announced on Wednesday. Michelin’s agents visited the restaurant undercover, which is located in Croatia’s popular tourist town of Rovinj on the  Istrian peninsular in 2016, and the restaurant has passed the test.

After the world-class regattas and the Red Bull Air Race, which attracted tens of thousands of visitors in the destination, Rovinj and Maistra will open the  upcoming tourist season with a new attractive sports event.

From 12th until 15th May 2016, Rovinj will host the first Beach Polo Tournament in the region.

Chelsea from San Francisco, who is a blogger on her site "Ginger Side of Life", visited Rovinj in March 2016, and whilst there – she took some very nice photos in Carera street. One of the pictures took place in front of the Carera 42 apartments.

Mulini Beach Bar, Rovinj Hotel Monte Mulini was, at this year's gold leaves eight best clubs on the beach recently published by the prestigious World magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
